Composed over the course of three days, this piece was completed on August 7th, 2023. It was written for sopranist, countertenor, viola trio, and cello. It's set to words by Paul Laurence Dunbar (1872-1906) from his poem Morning. I love the sound of both sopranists and countertenors and wanted to contribute to the repertoire with this piece.
